The SPAN PressureGuard® APM² Therapeutic Mattress combines alternating pressure and lateral rotation therapies in one advanced support surface. Designed for individuals who require enhanced pressure redistribution and skin protection, the APM² provides flexible therapeutic support without the need to disconnect or exchange air lines.
A recessed toggle switch makes it easy to change between alternating pressure and basic lateral rotation. The quiet digital control unit also features adjustable comfort settings, powered flotation, selectable alarms, and a timed Auto Firm mode that creates a firmer surface for transfers, personal care, CPR, and other caregiving activities.
The mattress combines air and supportive foam with SPAN’s proven Geo-Matt® segmented surface. More than 800 individually articulating cells help redistribute pressure while reducing shear, heat, and moisture buildup. Integrated Shear Transfer Zones® further minimize friction and help protect vulnerable areas when the head of the bed is raised.
For added stability, the patented Safety Edge™ gently encourages the user toward the center of the mattress. Its supportive perimeter helps reduce the risk of falls and entrapment while creating a more stable edge for sitting and transferring.
The durable, antimicrobial, bi-directional stretch cover is made with LifeSpan® fabric, providing excellent cleanability and resistance to deterioration caused by bleach and other commonly used disinfectants.
